Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled CAE Engineer – Analyst to support the design, development, and optimization of automotive seating systems. The ideal candidate will use computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools to perform structural, fatigue, and durability analyses, ensuring seating systems meet safety, comfort, and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

Develop and execute CAE simulations for automotive seating systems, including seat structures, frames, mechanisms, and components.
Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for static, dynamic, crash, vibration, and fatigue assessments.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure CAE insights inform product development.
Interpret simulation results, generate reports, and recommend design improvements.
Validate CAE models against test data, including component-level and full-seat testing.
Support optimization of seat structures for weight, cost, durability, and performance.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for automotive seating systems (FMVSS, ECE, etc.).
Maintain CAE models, libraries, and simulation documentation.
Provide technical support for troubleshooting design and manufacturing issues.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of manufacturing processes for seat components.
Experience in optimization techniques and light-weighting initiatives.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes for automotive seats.
Strong communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Roles and responsibilites

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in CAE/FEA analysis for automotive seating or similar structural components.
Proficiency in CAE software (e.g., Abaqus, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, HyperMesh, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites) used in automotive seats.
Understanding of vehicle crashworthiness, occupant safety, and fatigue testing.
Experience with multi-body dynamics (MBD) simulations for seat kinematics is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
