Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled CAE Engineer – Analyst to support the design, development, and optimization of automotive seating systems. The ideal candidate will use computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools to perform structural, fatigue, and durability analyses, ensuring seating systems meet safety, comfort, and regulatory requirements.

Job Description
  • Develop and execute CAE simulations for automotive seating systems, including seat structures, frames, mechanisms, and components.
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for static, dynamic, crash, vibration, and fatigue assessments.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure CAE insights inform product development.
  • Interpret simulation results, generate reports, and recommend design improvements.
  • Validate CAE models against test data, including component-level and full-seat testing.
  • Support optimization of seat structures for weight, cost, durability, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for automotive seating systems (FMVSS, ECE, etc.).
  • Maintain CAE models, libraries, and simulation documentation.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting design and manufacturing issues.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for seat components.
  • Experience in optimization techniques and light-weighting initiatives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes for automotive seats.
  • Strong communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Roles and responsibilites

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in CAE/FEA analysis for automotive seating or similar structural components.
  • Proficiency in CAE software (e.g., Abaqus, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, HyperMesh,  or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites) used in automotive seats.
  • Understanding of vehicle crashworthiness, occupant safety, and fatigue testing.
  • Experience with multi-body dynamics (MBD) simulations for seat kinematics is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
